Gone with the Wind is an enchanting, southern Old Hollywood film. This film features the alluring Scarlett O’Hara who is known for her manipulative and flirtatious manners. Although Gone with the Wind was set in the late 1800’s, we all can learn a hint of something from their charming southern ways.
1.DON’T SPEND YOUR LIFE CHASING A MAN WHO ISN’T IN LOVE WITH YOU.
In the twenty-first century women often forget that they should be pursued, they spend countless hours texting and calling and yearning for a man’s attention. What we have so sorrowfully forgotten is that women are precious gems, and if we choose to value and respect ourselves, we will receive the recognition we deserve. Let a man pursue you! Make sure he pulls out your chair and opens the door for you. Don’t let a man treat you any less than the prized possession you are!
2.SELF-CONFIDENCE IS A GAME CHANGER.
Scarlett O’Hara was smitten with every man in town. Miss. O’Hara knew how to work with what she was given. Scarlett was not the most striking woman in all of Atlanta, but men seldom noticed this. She walked with an air of confidence and she worked it to her fullest capability, she had men wrapped around her finger left and right and she was a force to be reckoned with.
3. Be resourceful.
During the Civil War everyone fell under grim financial circumstances. Scarlett O’Hara needed to subtly ask for money to pay the mortgage on her family farm, but she had not exquisite dress to wear into town. So what did Scarlett O’Hara do? She was ingenious and used her green drapery to construct an elaborate gown. Scarlett may have not had a million bucks to make her look a million bucks, but she utilized the resources feasible to her and designed a divine dress.
